Our students and families collected pet supplies, food and toys for local pets that will be donated to the Humane Society of South Brevard this holiday season. On Monday, December 1st parents and children loaded up the vans with pet supplies, food and toys. The children also sang our school song before loading up the vans. Each Elementary student will research a person who has contributed significantly in history and then dress to represent this person in chronological order. Peace Day, which is often referred to formally as United Nations Day, is observed every year in October. Another occasion that is celebrated in October is International Children's Day, which is celebrated during the last week of October. This holiday was originally created by UNICEF to celebrate our cultural diversity and ethnic heritage. Dear Parents, The Barnes & Noble Book Fair begins in just a few days. Please make sure you bring the attached VOUCHER with you. There will be many activities for the children, as well as adult book tables. Don't forget to register at our "Greeting" table. IHM’s Running Club participates in the Running Zone’s Race Series

Indian Harbour Montessori's Running Club participates in the Running Zone’s Race Series consisting of 7 races throughout the year. The school team challenge is open to all elementary and middle schools. IHM competes with elementary schools five times larger or more, some races have over 1200 runners! IHM has entered this series for the past three years. We have won the 1st Place Team Award for each of the three years. Jonathan Wood from the Raptor Project visited Indian Harbour Montessori on Friday, January 17th. The children listened as Jonathan and his avian predators, discussed conservation, as well as how the birds are ambassadors for their habitat. Our students along with the Indian Harbour Beach Police Department collected animal supplies, food, toys and clothes for the needy in our community this holiday season. On Friday, December 13th all parents and grandparents were invited as the children loaded up the big truck with food, toys and clothes and also participated in a sing-a-long!
