Both of our competitive girls and boys basketball teams won first place in their tournaments this past weekend! Through dedication, great coaching, good sportsmanship, and the desire to do their best as a team, this was accomplished. Indian Harbour Montessori swept the competitive sports in their division this year including volleyball, flag football and now both competitive basketball teams. A special acknowledgement and thanks to all of our coaches and Mrs. Naugle for their commitment to our students and great athletics. Congratulations students! Go Makos!
Indian Harbour Montessori parents and staff donated over 150 pairs of pajamas to the Brevard Family Partnership, they will also receive that many books from Scholastic. Our art teacher, Heather Everett created a snowman photo booth out of a box for our students & parents to enjoy after our Winter Program. It was donated after the children's Christmas party that Brevard Family Partnership hosted. We were also able to provide over 300 pounds of non-perishable food items to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped out so many this holiday season!
The students in Room 22 recently did a unit on Ancient Egypt. Their parents, grandparents and friends were invited to take a walk through ancient Egypt after the winter program today. [nggallery id=2]

Peace Day, which is often referred to formally as United Nations Day, is observed every year in October. Another occasion that is celebrated in October is International Children’s Day, which is celebrated during the last week of October. This holiday was originally created by UNICEF to celebrate our cultural diversity and ethnic heritage. This year, all pre-primary classes (Rooms 1, 2, and 3) celebrated both United Nations Day and International Children’s Day on October 23rd. As a part of our Peace Day Celebration, students sang peace songs, created peace artwork, and alongside their parents prepared and tasted authentic foods from the [...]
