After receiving my BA in Elementary Education and substituting in the area, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to also receive Montessori training for ages 6-9. Fifteen years later, I still love the Montessori Philosophy and the way it empowers children to think independently and to do work they are proud of. Our family has been a part of the Indian Harbour Montessori family for 20 years. We have seen it grow through the years and are so grateful to have been a part of it. We are the Widere family, and we collectively have been an Indian Harbour Montessori family for the past fourteen years. Each of our three children began IHM in pre-school and continued through 6th grade. As parents, we felt a Montessori education was one of the greatest gifts we have given our children. At IHM, character is nurtured, friendships really do last a lifetime for the kids and parents, teachers make it their mission to uncover each child’s gift and potential and the administration keeps it all together.
